Feature-retirement bulletin · High confidence

Azure Machine Learning Data Import and Data Connections retire on 30 September 2026.

Scheduled imports and dependent workloads must move to Microsoft Fabric-backed ingestion and Azure ML datastores.

Historical record: This page predates PlatformTrace’s 25 July 2026 Ireland and United Kingdom scope. It is preserved for citation and correction history, but is excluded from active counts, search results and current market coverage. Read the archive policy.
Scope: this affects the preview Data Import and Data Connections features, not Azure Machine Learning generally.

Verified change

Microsoft says both preview features will be unavailable after 30 September 2026 and that workloads depending on them will be disrupted.

Required action

Rebuild external ingestion in Microsoft Fabric, then expose the resulting data to Azure Machine Learning through datastores and update schedules, assets and training dependencies.
