PlatformTrace

The public record of technology change.

The verification problem

A technology change is visible. A migration is harder to prove.

PlatformTrace is investigating whether repeated public-web observations can distinguish a genuine platform migration from tag noise, staged rollouts, legacy code and incomplete collection.

Verified migration bulletins

PUBLIC DESK STATUSEMPTY

No company-specific migration bulletin has been published.

PlatformTrace will not use fictional companies, invented timestamps or manufactured evidence counts to make the desk look active.

Required before state

Repeatedly observedDated evidence and source context

Required after state

Repeatedly observedPersistence and alternative explanations reviewed

E-01

Source record

A bulletin must link to the official announcement or identify the captured public-web evidence.

E-02

Evidence date

Every observation must state when it was captured or published.

E-03

Confidence

Observed, probable and verified labels must be justified rather than decorative.

E-04

Correction route

Company-specific publication requires a documented correction and review process.

Next publication step: assemble the first real evidence corpus and review a candidate migration against the published method.

Questions under examination

  1. PT-001

Can primary ecommerce platforms be detected precisely enough for migration logic to matter?

Proposed gate: at least 98% precision on controlled cases. This is not achieved performance.

  2. PT-002

Can genuine migrations be separated from false removals and staged rollouts?

Proposed verified-migration precision gate: at least 90%. This is not achieved performance.

  3. PT-003

Does a verified post-cutover event create useful action for adjacent vendors?

The commercial trigger thesis remains unproven until a bounded buyer-action experiment is completed.

A useful migration signal should be harder to publish than a technology label.
