PlatformTrace

The public record of technology change.

Terms & disclaimer

Research signals, not professional advice.

PlatformTrace is provided for educational and informational purposes only. A public-web observation is not a recommendation, an authoritative company statement or a substitute for technical, commercial, legal or investment due diligence.

Important: technology observations can be incomplete, stale or wrong. Consent settings, A/B tests, staged rollouts, legacy scripts, regional differences, CDNs, bot protection and collection failures can all produce misleading signals.

1. Scope

These terms describe the conditions under which the PlatformTrace website and its research content are made available. The current website is a free, research-stage publication. It does not create a client, adviser, fiduciary, agency, monitoring, assurance or professional-services relationship.

2. Educational and informational purposes only

All content is provided solely for general educational, informational and research purposes. It is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any investment; contact or avoid a company; purchase or replace technology; change a website, platform or security control; appoint a supplier; or make any commercial, operational or strategic decision.

3. No professional advice

PlatformTrace does not provide legal, technical, engineering, cybersecurity, investment, financial, commercial, procurement, regulatory, compliance, due-diligence or other professional advice. A technology label, observed change, probable migration or research inference must not be treated as an authoritative statement about a company's systems, intentions, security, compliance, financial position or future plans.

Obtain advice from appropriately qualified legal, technical, cybersecurity, financial, investment, tax, procurement or commercial professionals where your decision requires it.

4. Independent verification

You are responsible for verifying any observation against suitable primary sources, which may include the relevant company, platform provider, implementation partner, official announcement, your own authorised technical assessment and other reliable evidence.

Do not act on a migration signal merely because it appears on PlatformTrace. Confirm the evidence date, confidence label, limitations, alternative explanations and whether the information remains current.

5. No warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PlatformTrace is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties, representations or guarantees of accuracy, completeness, currency, availability, reliability, fitness for purpose, non-infringement or suitability for any particular decision.

No observation or confidence label guarantees that a technology is installed, removed, actively used, deployed globally, contractually adopted or commercially significant.

6. Decisions and risk remain yours

You remain solely responsible for decisions made using or influenced by the website. This includes responsibility for investments, sales activity, prospecting, procurement, technology changes, security decisions, professional fees, staff time, contractual commitments, reputational consequences and any decision to rely on or disregard information.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PlatformTrace and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss; loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, business, goodwill or data; business interruption; wasted expenditure; or loss arising from reliance on incomplete, inaccurate, delayed or outdated content, third-party material, unavailable services or a false positive or false negative technology signal.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Any mandatory rights available to you under applicable law remain unaffected.

8. Third-party websites, statements and evidence

PlatformTrace may refer or link to company websites, platform providers, implementation partners, news releases and other third-party sources. Those sources are controlled by their respective operators and may change without notice. A link or reference does not constitute endorsement, partnership or responsibility for third-party content, availability, security, privacy, accuracy, licensing or terms.

9. Responsible use

You must not use PlatformTrace content to misrepresent a company's technology, impersonate PlatformTrace, make deceptive claims, harass individuals, bypass access controls, or support unlawful surveillance, discrimination or unauthorised access. Public availability of a website does not authorise intrusive collection or circumvention.

10. Intellectual property and evidence rights

PlatformTrace editorial content, layout and original analysis are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Company websites, announcements, trademarks, screenshots and third-party material remain subject to their own ownership, copyright, database rights, licences and reuse conditions. Nothing on this website transfers rights in third-party material.

11. Privacy and cookies

The Privacy Notice and Cookie Policy describe the website's current handling of visitor information, technical requests and browser storage. PlatformTrace does not currently use non-essential cookies.

12. Changes and availability

The website, methodology, confidence model, coverage and these terms may be corrected, changed, suspended or withdrawn without notice. PlatformTrace does not promise continuous availability or preservation of any particular page, observation, feature or historical state.

13. Governing law

These terms and any non-contractual dispute relating to the website are governed by the laws of Ireland. The courts of Ireland will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights or protections that apply in your country of residence.

14. Corrections and questions

No public support or correspondence channel is currently active. Before company-specific bulletins are published, PlatformTrace must establish a documented correction and review route. The absence of a contact channel does not remove your responsibility to verify information independently before acting.
