Kuaishou completes a PB-scale tranche in its ClickHouse-to-Doris migration

A July 2026 technical account based on a Kuaishou engineer’s presentation documents the first completed Bitmap-workload tranche in a phased migration from ClickHouse to Apache Doris and Kuaishou’s Bleem distribution.

Evidence boundary: The first PB-scale tranche is complete, but the cited hundred-PB, 200-plus-cluster and thousands-of-tables figures describe the wider estate or migration capability, not a fully completed estate-wide migration.

What was reported

Kuaishou built the Xingyi migration platform to automate schema conversion, replication, validation, replay and phased cutover between ClickHouse and Doris/Bleem.

Verified facts

  • ClickHouse is the source platform and Apache Doris/Bleem is the destination.
  • The first Bitmap-workload batch is reported complete.
  • Migrated cluster data had reached PB scale.
  • The broader programme concerns a ClickHouse estate described at hundred-PB scale with more than 200 clusters and thousands of tables.

What is not established

  • The number of completed clusters and tables is not disclosed.
  • ClickHouse has not been shown to be fully retired.
  • No full completion target is stated.

PlatformTrace analysis

This record captures a bounded completed production tranche, not completion of the entire 200-plus-cluster programme.
