Microsoft extends the Sentinel management transition to the Defender portal.

The Azure-portal management experience is now scheduled to retire on 31 March 2027, nine months later than Microsoft’s original deadline.

Microsoft has extended the deadline for managing Microsoft Sentinel through the Azure portal to 31 March 2027. The company had previously set 1 July 2026 as the transition deadline.

The change affects the management interface rather than ending Sentinel itself. Microsoft says customers are moving to the unified Defender portal.
