Snowflake removes Legacy Worksheets and Legacy Dashboards

Snowflake began removing the legacy Snowsight worksheet and dashboard experiences on 22 June 2026, requiring customers to move work into current interfaces.

Evidence boundary: Reader accounts remain exempt pending a separate timeline. The retirement does not remove Snowflake itself.

What changes

Legacy Worksheets are being replaced by Workspaces. Legacy Dashboards must be recreated in Streamlit, another supported Snowflake experience or an external BI platform.

Who is affected

  • Users with saved SQL and operational workflows in Legacy Worksheets.
  • Teams relying on Legacy Dashboards for reporting.
  • Automation, documentation or bookmarks that reference retired interfaces.

Timeline

The removal rollout began on 22 June 2026. Reader accounts have a separate, not-yet-published timetable.

Required action

  • Move active worksheet content into Workspaces.
  • Rebuild dashboards in Streamlit or another BI tool.
  • Update internal documentation, bookmarks and training material.

What is not affected

Snowflake databases, warehouses and supported current interfaces continue. The public change record concerns the two legacy Snowsight experiences.

PlatformTrace analysis

This is operationally material because teams may lose access to familiar authoring and dashboard surfaces even though the underlying data platform remains available.
